New proceedures

If you could please follow these new proceedures we would appreciate it.

  • Children and parents will follow the new times for arrival and departure 
    • Nursery 8:45am - 2:45pm - normal entrance
    • Nursery / Reception Key Worker 8:45am - 3:15pm - front entrance
    • Key Worker Year 1 9:00am -3:00pm - Year 2 door
    • Key Worker Year 2 9:00am  - 3:00pm - Metal Fire escape gate
    • Reception 9:15am - 3:15pm - Squirrels normal entrance; Badgers Year 1 door
  • Please use our one way system.  Access the playground via the right hand side green gate and leave via the path alongside the Year 2 classrooms.
  • If you have 2 children attending school, please drop off and pick up at the younger child's time.
  • Parents please do not to congregate at the front of the school OR on the playground and maintain social distance.
  • Please do not be early or late to collect your child.
  • If you need to talk to a staff member please phone the school office.
  • Pupils should wear school uniform (PE clothes not required in school), please contact the office if your child has out grown their uniform.
  • The DfE recommends that clothing should be washed each night and pupils shower /bath immediately upon returning home.
  • Pupils should not bring a book bag or back pack - DfE guidance is that no paper etc should go to/ from home including reading books
  • Children should bring a coat 
  • Children should only be accompanied by 1 parent to school, where possible only children attending our school should come onto school property.  Younger siblings should not be able to wander from their parents - please keep in their pram/buggy or hold their hands.
  • Children should follow the school instructions on hygiene (incl handwashing and sanitising). This will be taught to pupils when they return to school.
  • Pupils with inhalers / epi-pens should bring these to school as normal
  • Pupils will be expected to use school provided hand sanitizer as a condition of re-entry into school
  • Children may not bring personal hand sanitizer or moisturiser into school. We have some E45 daily moisturiser that pupils with chapped hands can use.
  • Children will be guided around school by their teachers and shown the areas they have access to.
  • Children will be taught to follow the ‘catch it, bin it and kill it’ routine for sneezing, coughing.  This will be taught to pupils when they return to school.
  • Pupils will have the new rules about sharing equipment explained to them on their return.
  • Pupils may bring an empty water bottle to school to leave at school, this should be dropped off outside the entrance door your child is using, it will be taken to the kitchen and run through the dishwasher. Please can you ensure water bottles are labelled with your pupil's name. 
  • Pupils must not bring any other item from home to school (incl pocket toys, soft toys, books etc)
  • Pupils are NOT to bring a packed lunch to school, a school meal will be provided. Dietary allergies will be catered for.
  • Pupils will be given instructions regarding breaks and play time, including where children may or may not play and which toilets pupils may use.
  • Please apply long lasting suntan lotion before pupils come to school - we will be outside a lot if the weather allows!
  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:Parents MUST inform school if any one in their house hold is unwell and they should stay away from school
